Role Objective:

The Rebate Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the management, controlling and accounting of the customer rebate process. The position will involve the accurate and timely raising of customer credit notes to customers for rebates due, maintenance of a database containing all rebate agreements, calculation of month end provisions reflecting amounts owed to customers and the preparation of various analysis and reports for management. 

Summary of Role Responsibilities:

• Calculation of month end customer rebate provisions reflecting amounts owed to customers
• Preparation and distribution of customer information
• Accurate and timely raising of customer credit notes for rebates due
• Reconciliation and variance analysis
• Reviewing payments against contract documentation
• Query resolution and administration support including liaison with internal account managers and customers.
• Additional accounting activities as required by manager 

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree in Finance/Mathematics or related subject (2:1 or higher)
• Be looking to study ACCA/CIMA
• GCSE and A-level Maths (grade A or B);

Skills 

• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• The ability to meet deadlines and targets
