Job Description

The Senior Tax Analyst is a strong member and leader within the Tax Team, responsible for sales and use tax processes and analysis, demonstrating technical proficiency, versatility and the ability to balance multiple projects in sales tax compliance, research, audits and integration
 




Responsibilities:
Prepare and review sales and use tax returns for multiple states
Preparing monthly use tax accruals.
Preparing tax schedules and researching taxability issues
Lead state and local sales and use tax audits interacting with and responding to tax auditors from many different states in which we do business, provide information requested by the auditor, build professional relationships with auditors and drafting correspondence to state taxing authorities
Collaborate with multi-departmental project teams within the company, for integration of financial systems and the related tax processes and filings; requires understanding financial concepts and the ability to explain to others how tax fits in to those processes
Manage and perform special projects as needed
Qualifications:
A four-year degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Experience with large corporate financial and tax systems
Experience with Oracle is a plus
Experience with Thomson Reuters Tax Determination is a plus
Minimum of 3 years of experience handling multi-state sales and use tax returns, audits, research and projects
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects in a very dynamic, changing environment
Strong analytical skills
Independent, efficient worker with demonstrated initiative
Effective and proactive in dealing with personnel at all levels of the organization and internal and external auditors
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
